Currane
was
at
a
stand
still
this
Easter
Monday
with
strong
SSW
wind
blowing
and
most
anglers
headed
for
the
liquid
department,
and
the
high
stool,
but
the
same
couldn't
be
said
for
Mr.
Bernd
Rall
of
Germany
who
headed
straight
for
the
Butler
Pool
with
his
single-handed
fly
rod
and caught
himself
a
fine
lightening
fresh

Barramundi
fishing
season
is
coming
again.
During
this
season,
lots
of
barra
move
into
estuary.
The
main
reason
is
to
spawn.
The
barra's
weight
more
than
five
kilo
is
identified
as
female
and
must
be
released
immediately.However,
the
bag
limit
strictly
done
to
assure
the
species

Spring
Steelhead
fishing
Has
been
progressing
nicely.
The
bite
has
been
on
with
winter
fish
in
the
rivers,
and
Spring
steelhead
entering
the
rivers.
We
have
been
getting
Steelhead
on
Leaches,
Stone
flies
and
Eggs
among
other
flies
in
the
box.
We
on
the
other
hand
need
rain.
River
levels
are
getting low
and
c;ear.

sring
salmon
season
is
underway
and
fish
are
entering
the
rivers.
Unfortunatly
we
are
experiencing
heavy
spring
rains
in
the
Pacific
Northwest
and
the
rivers
are
swelling.
The
bank
andglers
on
the
Cowlitz
are
still
at
it
but
in
smaller
numbers.
The
waters
are
chocolat
milk
but
bait
can
be
used with
some
sucess.
The
Kalama
River
is

the
quiet
side,
in
the
Salmon
department,
but
it
was
a
different
story
in
the
Seatrout
department
where
Mr
John
Buckley
of
Killarney
caught
a
3.5lbs
Seatrout
on
the
fly
which
he
sportingly
put
back.

The
third
springer
of
the
season
was
taken
on
Sunday,
March
14
by
Larry
Sheridan
(Dungarvan)
who
gillies
for
the
Lodge.
He
released
the
fish
which
weighed
about
12lb
&
was
taken
on
black

C
at
the
top
of
the
Island
Stream
on
Kents.

didn't
have
