Abu Garcia Cardinal 100 Spin Fishing Reels - A Great Ultralight Reel for Fishing For Trout, Crappie, Panfish and Bass
When I am spin fishing for trout, crappie or smaller bass than the Abu Garcia Cardinal 100 Spinning Reel is my reel of choice. The reel fishes great with a light rod and handles fish well.
Don't think that you're out of luck if you hook into a lunker on this reel. One time when I was fishing at Cottonwood Campground on the San Juan River, I hooked into a fish that was truly a force to be reckoned with. When I saw my rod completely bent over and about to snap I got a bit worried that this was too much fish to handle. But my Abu Garcia reel held up, I tired the fish out and landed a monster brown trout.
