Mexico: The World's Best Largemouth Bass Fishing Location Mexico has some of the best bass fishing lakes in the world. If you want to catch huge, 10 plus pound bass, than Mexico will give you as good of a chance as anyplace. Mexican bass lakes such as Huites, El Salto, Baccarac, Agua Milpa, Comedero and Guerrero can serve up a 10 pound bass on any given cast. Indeed, Mexico offers some of the best bass fishing in the world. Mexico has such great bass fishing for two primary reasons: The first reason is the long growing season. With warm temperatures most of the year, the growing season for bass in Mexico is a few months longer than in most areas of the United States. As a result, the bass grow larger and faster than they do in most of the United States. The second reason is the fishing pressure. Most Mexicans do not fish for bass. Good fishing lakes in the US will often have hundreds of bass boats on the lake during prime season. This certainly stresses the fish population. There are five awesome bass lakes on the west coast of Mexico: Lake El Salto, Lake Agua Milpa, Lake Huites, Lake Baccarac and Lake Comedero.
Lake El SaltoLake El Salto produces more double-digit bass than any lake in the world. El Salto is a 23,000 acre impoundment, home to some of the largest largemouth bass in the Mexico. It is located 50 miles north of the beautiful seaside town of Mazatlan. Thousands of 10 plus pound have been caught and released here.
Lake Agua MilpaAgua Milpa offers big numbers of quality largemouth bass. Agua Milpa is definitely worth a trip if you visit western Mexico.
Lake HuitesLake Huites is considered one of the best largemouth bass lakes in the world.
Lake BaccaracBaccarac is an ideal hotspot for catching largemouth bass. It is the best big bass lake in the entire world. The lake is approximately 25 miles long and 5 miles wide and is surrounded by green forested mountain peaks.
Lake ComederoComedero is a beautiful mountain lake within the Sierra Madre Mountains. The lake is 100 miles northeast of Mazatlan. Lake Comedero has clear and cool water with thousands of hungry black bass that are willing to strike almost any type of lure all year long. It is the world's best bass lake for bass from 8 to 12 pounds. Some of the fish range from 12 to 15 pounds - true monsters! The bass fishing at each lake differs because of the lake's age, habitat, climate and other factors. Older lakes typically produce larger bass, but bass are not as abundant as in newer lakes. The east coast of Mexico also has some great bass fishing, especially Lake Guerrero and Lake El Cuchillo.
Lake GuerreroGuerrero produces large numbers of bass with the occasional ten-pound plus fish.
Lake El CuchilloCuchillo is the newest Mexican bass fishing lake. It is located less than a hundred miles south of the Texas/Mexico border. Cuchillo has been producing quite a few large bass.
