22/2/10 Just one or two boats out and no takers. Wind SE light to calm then veered NW light to calm late this afternoon, but to be honest the wind was so light all day, it would hardly register on a wind meter. Max air temperature 7.2c. 23/2/10 All quiet on both sides of Lough Currane, be it fly or troll. Wind ESE then veered NE late this afternoon and overcast with light rain at times, amount of rainfall 1.4mm, max air temperature 5.0c. 24/2/10 There were five boats out and all failed to locate the rascal. Wind NNE light and overcast with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 0.5mm, max air temperature 7.5c. 25/2/10 Again all anglers failed in all departments. Wind N light with reasonable cloud cover with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 0.5mm, max air temperature 7.2c. 26/2/10 All fish locators were negative. Wind NW fresh with reasonable cloud cover with the odd shower, amount of rainfall 0.3mm, max air temperature 7.8c. 27/2/10 It was cold in all departments today and talking of cold the temperature this morning was only 4c, max air temperature 9.4c with reasonable cloud cover at times, with the odd shower, amount of rainfall 1.7mm, wind NE then veered SSE and veered gain late this afternoon into the NW light to calm in all directions. 28/2/10 February has come to a close with little to report on today's action. Max air temperature 9.3c, wind W then veered WNW light to calm with the odd light shower, amount of rainfall 2.4mm and talking of rain, Lough Currane is in badly need of liquid refreshment i.e. we need a good flood because the Waterville Fishery is on the low side, so lets hope the heavens open in March, plus it would be nice to see a few more boats out there manipulating their flies and Toby's because again there was only one or two boats out during the week and maybe five boats out at the weekend. That is all the news from your Gillie and the Waterville Fishery. No Spin No Fly's just facts.
