I often see folks struggling when trying to hold a trout for fishing pictures. It's really not very hard to get a trout to not squirm for pictures if you hold it the right way. The key is that you have to support the fish the right way. One of your hands should be underneath the fish's belly close to the head. The other hand should gently wrap around the fish near its tail. Don't squeeze to tight but be firm enough so that you won't just drop the fish.
