St.Johns River Bass Fishing

Have you ever heard the expression, " It was one of those days"? Well, We had one. Finding fish on the St. Johns river can be a very humbling experience. We were able to locate good numbers of 2lb fish but not the good quality fish you need for a tournament. Josh and I started the day off fishing eel grass in a foot of water hooking up and losing our first three fish. (Not Good). We then went down river and located another group of fish and boated 2 keepers. As the sun grew higher we went and picked up our last few fish on eel grass points fishing rat-l-traps. We ended up with 3 keeper bass, and losing four to five others that would have really boosted our weight. So if you have ever fished the St.Johns and have any tips to help us out let me know! That was our first time there fishing and it was tough, but fun. So until our next trip tightlines!
