Default Your thoughts on the new world record bass

So you may have heard of the new world record bass caught by a guy in Japan. Here is the article in case you have not heard about it:

http://www.fishingrecreation.com/art...Manabu-Kurita/

What are your thoughts on this? I am not sure what to think. I am not some hardcore redneck who thinks that America is the greatest at everything and hates foreigners or anything... but the largemouth bass is an American fish and everyone thought that the fish that broke the 77 year old record would come from the US or Mexico. People in America have spent millions and millions of dollars and hours pursuing a bass like that. In Japan, they are trying to eradicate largemouth bass from that lake! It is almost a slap in the face. They already make way better cars than us (and that was our thing too originally) and now they are better bass fishermen than us. What is the deal?

I bet they will rethink trying to kill all of the bass in that lake. I would think that this would draw a lot of attention to that lake and probably bring in quite a bit of $$$ from fishermen who think that there might be another 22 pounder (or bigger) in that lake
