Why do you think children often turn away from fishing?

I personally think it\'s because most kids don\'t have patience. Fishing requires patience as you won\'t catch something every cast. Our current culture gives us instant access to everything that we want and instant gratification. Lots of kids would rather play a fishing video game then invest the time into real fishing.

Unlike most anglers... kids don\'t care what kind or what size fish they catch... just as long as there is action. Make it their fishing trip... not yours.

Keep the trip short and fun... quit while they are having fun.
